"We are thrilled and honored to have Marc lead our dynamic board of directors," said Emily Spitzer, Executive Director of NHeLP. "Marc shares NHeLP's commitment to low-income and underserved populations, and his leadership will be crucial as we continue implementation of the Affordable Care Act."
"I am delighted to assume chairmanship of NHeLP’s board of directors," Fleischaker said. "NHeLP long ago proved itself a national leader in health care policy, and I look forward to working with this talented staff and board of directors on some of the most pressing issues that face us today."
Donn Ginoza, of California's Public Employment Relations Board, was the most recent Chair of NHeLP's board of directors, and he will continue on the board as the Vice-Chair. We are grateful for Donn's leadership, under which NHeLP continued to expand its staff and further develop its work on new and existing projects.
Founded more than 40 years ago, NHeLP seeks to improve health care for America's working and unemployed poor, minorities, the elderly and people with disabilities. NHeLP’s primary areas of focus include health reform implementation and litigation, Medicaid and Medicare, reproductive rights, children's health, language access and health disparities.
