WASHINGTON---This week, the National Health Law Program (NHeLP) completed its 23rd annual Health Advocates Conference. Over the last three days, more than 150 health advocates and attorneys from 24 states gathered to discuss solutions and advocacy opportunities for Medicaid expansion, reproductive rights for low-income women, coordinated care for vulnerable children, and other critical health issues.

At the conference, NHeLP's Board of Directors expressed its support of the full implementation of the Medicaid expansion in the Affordable Care Act by passing a resolution. The full text is below:

RESOLVED THAT the Board of the National Health Law Program supports full implementation of the Medicaid Expansion called for in the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and urges the Administration to reject any proposal to permit partial expansion as an option for the states and, furthermore, urges the Administration to issue regulations promptly that will allow states to implement the Basic Health Plan coverage option guaranteed them in the ACA as of January 2014.
