Eligible low-income Californians enrolled in Medi-Cal are losing coverage unnecessarily, endangering their health and increasing costs to an already overburdened health care system. That was the major finding of a new report on Medi-Cal issued today by the Health Consumer Alliance (HCA), a coalition of non-profit legal assistance programs that help low-income consumers access health care services.
