The National Health Law Program is seeking applicants to fill a new Staff Attorney position in its Washington, D.C. office.  Experienced advocates seeking to work part time will be considered for the position, as will more recent law graduates seeking full-time employment.  The position will involve legislative and administrative advocacy and policy work on issues such as Medicaid, SCHIP, Medicare, reproductive health, access to health care for people with limited English proficiency and other health care related areas of consequence to the low-income community.  Prior experience in one or more of these fields is highly desirable.  The successful candidate will have strong analytical and writing skills and the ability to relate well to colleagues, Congressional staff and administrative agency personnel.  NHeLP is an equal opportunity employer that values and affirmatively seeks diversity in its work force.

Salary is DOE, and NHeLP offers a congenial working environment along with a generous benefits package that includes medical and dental insurance and four weeks vacation.  Interested candidates should send a resume with three references and a cover letter by email to Steve Hitov at hitov@healthlaw.org.  The email should indicate in the subject line that the application is for the Staff Attorney position.
